For this assignment, you will make a drawing that fairly represents your current skill level. At the end of the course, you will make a similar kind of drawing. Comparing the two will help you think about what you have learned.
Find four objects that you would like to draw, arrange them on a tabletop under a lamp, and draw them. Plan on spending an hour or so on this drawing.
Draw them on letter size (8½" x 11") or tabloid size (11" x 17") paper.
Draw them as well and as completely as you can. Erase and make corrections if you want to.
If this drawing does not turn out as well as you want it to, don't worry about it. It is strictly for your own use, and no one else has to see it.
The purpose of this assignment is to create a drawing that demonstrates your current level of drawing skill.
Put this drawing in a safe place where you will be able to find when you want it again.
